Texas

Texas – a big State.
I walked five hundred miles.
Never left Texas.

I wrote a haiku.
I think it is quite clever.
I forgot the line.

Lemon Meringue Pie
My favorite pie, except
Maybe Pecan Pie

Bean and cheese nachos.
Cheese enchiladas onions.
Margarita (large).

Friday afternoon
Weekend starting very soon
Is it five o’clock?

Empty coffee cup.
Catching up on all my mail.
There’s a meeting soon.

Sadness is still here.
House is now one dog quieter.
Seems very quiet.

Start with coffee time.
Shower, shave, traffic, office.
Meetings, work, traffic.

Bird seed is tasty.
Mom yelled at me about it.
It is still tasty.

Two glorious days.
All work is just forgotten.
Needs many more days.
