Time Crawls

It’s only Thursday?
Monday was a holiday.
Should be Friday now.

Long difficult month.
Poetry will help you heal.
Peace until next year.

Low background noises.
Thinking about weekend plans.
Someone called my name.

I need food. Much food.
I need to sleep until food.
I need food. Much food.

Work for common good.
Don’t get rich saving the world.
You still need money.

Five o’clock please come.
Brain is fried and spirit crushed.
Weekend reboot soul.

Mom calls me Dammit.
Dammit is my sister, too.
We annoy our Mom.

Late is the hour.
My mind clogged with empty thoughts.
Last minute poem.

Thunderstorm at night.
The rain makes all plants happy.
Keeps the dogs awake.

I need a small snack.
Nap time is my favorite.
